fast-growing, Vaughan-based food company operating multiple brands across retail, foodservice, and manufacturing throughout the USA and Canada is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team.
Role Overview:This individual will ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality across our operations. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in HACCP, GFSI, BRC, and regulatory ( GFSI/CIFA/USDA/FDA )compliance within the food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the company's HACCP system, BRC system, SOPs, and quality programs.
  • Oversee all incoming material inspections, sample handling, and approvals.
  • Conduct internal audits and customer complaint investigations.
  • Ensure all microbial testing meets specifications and maintain comprehensive databases.
  • Deliver training on Food Safety and Quality Control to QA staff and plant employees.
  • Ensure full compliance with CFIA, USDA, FDA, and customer specifications.
  • Maintain and update product specifications, labels (Genesis SQL), and supplier documentation.
  • Administer organic, gluten-free, and kosher certification programs.
  • Conduct and document sanitation and pest control programs.
  • Lead mock recalls and maintain preparedness for food safety emergencies.
  • Supervise the QA Technician and support FSQA system activities.
  • Assist QA Manager in recall, food security, and crisis management situations.
