The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Product Owner to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in working with Development teams and leaders to align our Data, Platform, and Analytics projects with our business goals and OKRs. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of platform integration, data management, performance optimization strategies as well as working knowledge of the underlying technologies. The Technical Product Owner will be responsible for prioritizing the teams' backlogs and surfacing up to a broader audience the value and impact of our critical technology projects. The Technical Product Owner will collaborate with other teams to ensure critical dependencies are properly prioritized and planned, and details on adoption and migration of new technologies are well understood. The Technical Product Owner will be responsible for producing documentation, including release notes and product descriptions, associated with technical project deliverables. The Technical Product Owner must be confident in presenting the technical vision and roadmap to the executive team and key stakeholders.
What You'll Do
  • Clearly articulate and develop initiatives, ensuring that the impact on clients is well-defined and that acceptance criteria are effectively communicated.
  • Collaborate with other teams to align dependent workstreams and ensure seamless on-time execution of projects.
  • Regularly evaluate the platform's vision and strategy, testing it against organizational goals to ensure alignment and the capacity to drive value.
  • Analyze and assess the potential impact of initiatives on client satisfaction and business outcomes; collaborating with Development to iterate on strategies as necessary to reduce risk or improve client adoption of the product.
  • Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding project status, potential risks, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of requirements, project plans, and progress reports to facilitate effective tracking and accountability.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years professional experience working as part of a Technical or Product Management team
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Product or Project Management within the Financial Services industry.
  • Strong understanding of integration options, data management principles and performance optimization strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering client value.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.

The expected salary for this position is $150,000 CAD to $175,000 CAD. When determining your pay, we will take into account your skills, experience, and location.
