Total compensation package of $85,000 to $110,000 depending on level of experience.

Position Summary: As a Field Electrician, you will play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across various projects. You'll ensure the safe and efficient execution of work in compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and project specifications. Senior electricians will have the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities, mentoring apprentices and junior electricians.
Responsibilities:
- Electrical Work Execution: Perform all aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair, including wiring, panels, switches, transformers, motors, and generators. Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures effectively.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Senior Electricians can take on supervisory roles, guiding apprentices and junior electricians while ensuring safety and quality standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure the use of proper protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with Project Managers and internal teams to coordinate tasks, meet project deadlines, and track materials used.
- Inventory and Material Tracking: Manage and track on-site materials and equipment to ensure accurate usage and reporting. Address any shortages with the Project Manager.
- Care for Company Property: Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring they remain in top working condition.
- Training and Development: Contribute to the growth and development of junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Certificate of Qualification (309A) as an Electrician.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as a licensed electrician (preferred). However, if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn, we are open to working with you to enhance your skills and develop your expertise. Leadership or senior role experience is an asset.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems with expertise in troubleshooting and maintenance. Experience in commercial and industrial electrical work is preferred.
- Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of safety codes, worksite safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and support a team, ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and project managers.
