JOB PURPOSE
Reporting directly to the Manager, Analytics and Forecasting, the Forecast Analyst is accountable for maintaining forecasting records accurately and providing reports for demand analysis in alignment with Mevotech's & Customer business needs using our databases and tools in our established forecasting process.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and provide forecast updates in Min/Max & Pronto at SKU level using tools available in forecasting process.
- Generate initial forecasts for new products released to production, leveraging historical data and market insights.
- Run Forecasting Models each month and identify unexpected demand to adjust forecast as necessary.
- Measure and monitor Mevotech's forecast accuracy, driving continuous improvement.
- Update and Develop Tableau dashboards(e.g., accuracy, POS), and support management presentations with actionable insights.
- Analyze and update ABC classification codes (Pop codes)
- Automate manual processes and workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
- Develop dashboards using Power BI and extract data using SQL; leverage Azure for advance data management and analytics.
- Apply advanced analytics using Python, including proficiency with Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and Matplotlib libraries for data analysis, modelling, and visualization.
- Proactively investigate market trends, customer behaviour, and external factors to suggest potential “riser” skus and recommend forecast adjustments for items with expected demand increases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share insights, identify risks and opportunities, and implement best-in-class forecasting solutions.
- Post-secondary degree with specialization in engineering, information technology, statistics or other relevant area.
- Experience applying AI-driven methods and tools in forecasting or supply chain analytics.
- Excellent Excel Skills (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP's experience a must)
- Power Query and Power BI
- Strong knowledge on Python or R related libraries.
- Hands-on SQL, Snowflake
- Progressive experience in reporting, data collection and analysis.
- Ability to work and summarize large amounts of data to help identify demand trends.
- Proactive, detail-oriented problem solver with the ability to effectively handle challenges.
- Familiarity with Mevotech's brands, BOM and bulk requirements.
- Collaborative team member with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with cross functional department peers. Familiarity with Salesforce is a bonus ·
- Automotive experience or a car enthusiast is a bonus
