Job Description
- This position is for Industrial Electrical Construction
- The journeyman is responsible for running small Industrial construction jobs
- Must possess exemplary safety record and commitment to safe work practices
- Plan, budget, organize, and complete small jobs
- Provide quality work with attention to details and meet or exceed customer's needs
- Must be well organized and able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Required to sort, maintain, and organize electrical parts
- Keep records of time and material
- Keep themselves and others safe at all times
- Participate in on-call and overtime as required
- Various other duties as required
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:
- Licensed electrician with interprovincial seal
- Oilfield services and construction experience is highly desired
- Rigid piping experience is required
- Ability to work on and layout electrical jobs without blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have a valid vehicle operations license (abstract required)
The following skills are an asset but not absolutely required:
- Drilling rig construction and maintenance experience
- Programmable logic controller (PLC) and networking experience
- Experience with (AC) drives systems
