What You'll Do

As a Recreation Aide, you'll help bring energy, engagement, and positivity to our care homes. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading group programs: crafts, games, music, fitness, social events & outings
• Assisting residents to and from activities, encouraging participation
• Providing personal support during programs as needed
• Observing and reporting changes in residents to the supervisor or nurse
• Ensuring recreation supplies and equipment are safe and well maintained
• Participating in team meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives
• Helping orient and welcome new residents to the community

What You Bring

• Completion of a recognized Recreation/Activity Certificate or Diploma
• Experience in a senior care or recreation setting is a strong asset
• Current First Aid and Food Safe Certification
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for enhancing the lives of older adults
• Ability to work casually and flexibly across multiple locations
• Work flexible across three Vancouver sites
