POSITION GOAL: A Grinder is responsible for using hand tools to cut through rough edges, along with precision cutting of fiberglass parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (list in order of importance)

1. Cuts surface of a fiberglass part evenly & squarely.

2. Sands or grinds to a uniform thickness.

3. Follows verbal procedure on techniques and/or tools to be assigned when finishing a part.

4. Trims, drills, and uses router, sand, and grind fiberglass parts and/or surfaces.

5. Uses jigs and fixtures to mark parts for trimming and/or machining.

6. Supports and adheres to all Lean and 5s initiatives.

7. Daily maintenance of assigned/department tools and equipment.

8. Reads blueprints and be able to finish a part to the specifications shown on the print.

9. Documents all non-conformities on a Corrective & Preventative Action report (CAPAR).
