Were seeking a Capital Projects Coordinator to support the successful delivery of infrastructure and capital improvement projects. Reporting to the Capital Projects Manager, you'll be the engine behind our project planning, execution, and reportingensuring everything runs smoothly on time, and on budget.

Note: This position is full-time with a set weekly schedule (35 hrs/week, Monday - Friday).

The primary responsibilities include:

Project Coordination & Support

  • Assist in developing scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Track milestones, risks, deliverables, and expenditures.
  • Prepare reports, contracts, specifications, and documentation.
  • Work within the Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) infrastructure funding processes.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help facilitate meetings, status updates, and engagement activities.
  • Ensure records and communications are timely and accurate.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Prepare RFPs, assist with bidding processes, and track procurement.
  • Maintain project files and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with capital and operating budget preparation.
  • Support onboarding and training efforts for project-related activities.

Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Planning, Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or Technologist, or related field.
  • Willingness to obtain the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Post-secondary education in project management, engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project coordination or support roles within capital projects or infrastructure development.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project tracking software is an asset.
  • Knowledge of public procurement processes, budgeting, and contract administration is an asset.
  • Cultural awareness and a respectful understanding of Indigenous communities, values, and protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build trust and maintain relationships across diverse groups.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • A collaborative spirit and proactive approach to problem-solving, negotiation, and strategic thinking.
  • NOTE: A criminal check will be conducted on the successful applicant

What we offer:

  • Starting salary between $60,000 to $67,000, depending on experience
  • Discretionary office closure between Christmas Day and New Years Day, as determined by the Council each year
