Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and functionally driven Team Lead to oversee the successful upgrade, stabilization, and continuous enhancement of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of business processes and ERP capabilities—particularly in finance, supply chain, and manufacturing—who can lead a cross-functional delivery team while collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization.

The successful candidate will serve as the functional owner of the ERP platform, guiding ERP administrators, business analysts, outsourced development teams, and third-party vendors through requirements definition, solution design, implementation, and system governance. Initially focused on a 12-month upgrade project, the role will evolve into managing the long-term ERP strategy and continuous improvement roadmap. This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Head Office in Vaughan, Ontario

Core Responsibilities:

ERP Upgrade & Implementation (first 12 months):

  • Lead all functional aspects of the D365 upgrade, coordinating between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to define business needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and oversee their execution through internal and external technical resources.
  • Review and validate functional designs, test plans, and UAT scripts.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for functional gaps, change requests, and process alignment.
  • Support data migration, integration testing, and organizational readiness efforts.
  • Ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Post Implementation Ownership:
  • Lead and mentor a blended team including ERP administrators, business analysts, and outsourced development partners.
  • Own and maintain the ERP functional roadmap across Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, and related domains.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to define, prioritize, and deliver system enhancements, automation, and reporting needs.
  • Manage platform performance, functional integrity, user access, and compliance with internal policies and audit standards.
  • Govern the intake and execution of change requests, integrations, and ISV/third-party solution implementations.
  • Champion continuous improvement and promote adoption of ERP best practices across all departments.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with ERP systems (preferably D365 F&O), including upgrades or support roles.
  • Strong background in ERP functional areas—particularly finance, supply chain, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing ERP teams that include administrators, analysts, and outsourced developers.
  • Proven ability to interpret business needs and translate them into effective ERP configurations and workflows.
  • Extensive knowledge of ERP capabilities, lifecycle services, system integrations, and Microsoft Power Platform components.
  • Skilled in process mapping, gap analysis, solution design, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience with system administration, role-based security, and data governance in ERP Systems.
  • Working knowledge of agile project management tools and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft certifications in D365 F&O (Functional Consultant or Solution Architect) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Power BI, DMF, and reporting/data tools.
  • Background in enterprise-grade ERP change management and end-user training.
  • Familiarity with regulatory or audit requirements in manufacturing or distribution environments.
What Mircom Offers:
  • A great working environment
  • Competitive salary
  • Group insurance benefits
  • Company RRSP program
