Reporting Relationship: The Director of Collision Centres reports to the Vice President of Operations.

Job Summary:

Are you an experienced leader in the automotive industry with a passion for operational excellence and delivering exceptional customer service? We are seeking a dynamic Director of Collision Centres to lead the strategic direction, operations, and performance of Birchwood's collision repair business across multiple locations.

The Director of Collision Centres is responsible for driving business performance, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring the delivery of superior repair services. This role oversees all aspects of operations, financial management, customer satisfaction, and stakeholder relationships, including OEMs, insurers, vendors, and internal partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

  • Oversees daily operations across multiple collision centres, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Monitors and improves key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, touch time, and repair quality.
  • Leads strategic planning initiatives to support growth, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Financial & Business Management

  • Manages budgets, analyzes financial reports, and optimizes profitability across all locations.
  • Identifies opportunities for growth and innovation, including new services or locations.
  • Builds and maintains partnerships with insurance carriers, DRP programs, and fleet clients.

Team & Culture

  • Leads and supports shop managers and teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and service excellence.
  • Champions team member engagement and development through training, coaching, and performance management.

Customer & Quality Focus

  • Sets and enforces service standards to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensures compliance with OEM repair procedures, I-CAR standards, and insurance requirements.
  • Conducts audits and implements quality control initiatives to reduce rework and maintain certifications.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the automotive sector, with progressive leadership in Collision, Fixed Operations, or Service Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-site operations and large teams.
  • Strong business acumen with financial management and budget oversight experience.
  • Knowledge and application of lean principles and continuous improvement practices.

· Clear Credit and Criminal Record Check

· Valid 5F drivers license, and clear drivers abstract.

Preferred:

  • Post-secondary education in a business-related field.
  • Experience managing relationships with OEMs, insurers, and DRP partners.
  • Familiarity with collision repair estimating software and shop management systems.
