Job Overview:

As a Front-End Engineer, you own the delivery of features that span UI logic, component architecture, and integration with back-end systems. While your strengths lie in front-end technologies, you operate with full-stack awareness understanding service behavior, contributing to API design, and ensuring end-to-end functionality. You take pride in delivering high-quality, performant, and maintainable interfaces that enable business outcomes.

You work independently on moderately complex projects, bringing clarity to ambiguity and thoughtful trade-offs to the table. You contribute to shared component libraries, design systems, and front-end infrastructure, and collaborate with engineers across the stack to ensure seamless, resilient integration. You help raise the bar for accessibility, testability, and cross-platform consistency.

You are expected to use AI tools as part of your workflow including code assistants, test generators, and documentation tools to reduce friction and increase delivery speed. Youre responsible for testing everything you ship, across unit, integration, and visual validation layers. You participate in front-end CI health, visual regression tooling, and performance instrumentation as part of delivering high-quality software.

You work closely with designers, product managers, and sometimes business stakeholders helping to translate product ideas into implementation plans and improving the user experience through thoughtful feedback and collaboration. You help ensure that front-end delivery is aligned with product intent and user expectations.

What youll do:

  • Own the implementation of end-to-end features, including UI components, state management, and integration with APIs.
  • Use AI tools to increase velocity whether through intelligent code generation, test scaffolding, or documentation.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and E2E tests; perform visual and behavioral QA as needed.
  • Collaborate with designers to uphold accessibility and design standards, and contribute to our design system.
  • Investigate and resolve performance or cross-browser issues; contribute to front-end observability and tooling.
  • Work directly with product managers and stakeholders to clarify scope, align on UX trade-offs, and deliver customer value.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the evolution of front-end best practices..

Requirements:

  • Proficient in modern frameworks (React, Vue), TypeScript, and modular component design.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, test generation tools, lint/config assistants) to streamline development.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility, performance optimization, and responsive design.
  • Experience working with APIs and contributing to full-stack solutions.
  • Comfortable owning testing strategy across the stack for the features you build.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, with experience working cross-functionally.

What We Will Give You:

  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $115,000+, reflective of experience and impact.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including extended health, dental, and vision coverage with 100% of monthly premiums covered by the Spring.
  • GRSP matching program to support your long-term financial goals.
  • Transit-Friendly Employer (Transit allowance).
  • A modern, collaborative workspace in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
  • Ongoing career growth opportunities
