We have an immediate opening for a Dock Supervisor at our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia TerminalFull-time Overnights (6pm-6am on a rotating Schedule: 4 on/4 off)Job Duties entail:

• Able to give and receive Constructive Criticism, and lead a team by example
• Responsible to watch for/address any safety concerns
• Ensure KPI screens are read and itemize freight
• Effective communication with Management, Dispatch & Staff, and able to assign work
• Ensure proper equipment is utilized for outbound lanes, and facilitate units for loading/unloading
• Ensure all dedicated LTL deliver & straight trucks are loaded for early am cutoff time
• Ensure expectations are met to attain Reweigh & Cube goals
• Attend any planned meetings and respond to correspondence & voice mails within agreed timelines

What we need from you:

• A Willingness to Work! Dependability & a Good Attitude are key
• Reliable Transportation - must be living in the area
• Experience working in a transportation warehouse environment, formal Supervisory Experience an asset
• Experience Loading/Unloading trailers operating a counter-balance forklift
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Experience and understanding of the Truck Mate system is an asset
• Ability to use scanners, paperwork where required
• Responsible to watch for/address any safety concerns
• Strengths in Conflict Resolution, Time Management, Multi-tasking
• Ability to work Safely in a fast-paced team environment
• Safety boots/shoes
• Clean criminal background
