Mercedes-Benz North Vancouver is currently looking to fill the position of a Paint Preparation Technician.

Job Duties:

  • Remove exterior trims and hardware
  • Identify and evaluate all painting surfaces to determine the proper level of repair
  • Identify and apply corrosive-resistant primers and topcoats for fiberglass and plastic
  • Sand, spot fill, price and condition areas of repair
  • Mask and tape for multi-tone work or to protect areas that do not require painting
  • Apply primers, acrylic enamel, polyurethane, base coat, clear coat and other types of paint using spray painting guns
  • Mix paint to blend and match colors
  • Dry or bake newly painted areas
  • Apply decals, transfers, stencils, specialty refinishing and detailing
  • Other duties as required

Ideal Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of previous experience in automotive painting
  • The ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Education in automotive painting an asset
