The Village of Ridgeview Court located in Milton, Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a IPAC - Assistant Director of Nursing Care ADNC RPN, Permanent Full-Time to join their team!

To be successful as our new IPAC - Assistant Director of Nursing Care ADNC RPN, you will:

  • Have a current registration as a Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Maintain current Heart Save Level of CPR.
  • Have current certification with either a Long-term Care – Certificate in Infection Prevention (LTC-CIP) or Certificate in Infection Control (CIC) through Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC), or willing to obtain in 12 months.
  • Act as a Specialist Leader pertaining to all aspects of infection prevention and control, including but not limited to outbreak management, auditing, infection surveillance, continuous quality improvement, etc.
  • Support the delivery of IPAC education to all team members, caregivers, volunteers, students, visitors, and residents.
  • Understand the IPAC protocol and maintain up to date knowledge of the regulations specific to infection control.
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members.
  • Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Assistant Director of Nursing Care role.
  • Work with the interdisciplinary team to ensure implementation of the IPAC program across all program areas.

It would be an asset if our new IPAC - Assistant Director of Nursing Care ADNC RPN has:

  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation and regulations applicable to the long-term care sector, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2021 and Health & Safety.
  • Three (3) years of experience leading and directing department(s) in a healthcare setting
  • Education and Experience in IPAC practices including: infectious disease, cleaning, disinfecting, data collection, trend analysis, outbreak management, reporting protocol, asepsis, microbiology, epidemiology, program management & adult education or willing to complete an IPAC Canada endorsed or sponsored course.
  • Experience working in a Long-Term Care setting.
