Our client, a Calgary-based engineering and equipment company, is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team in the design, development, and delivery of complex mechanical and electrical systems.
As a technical leader and subject matter expert, you'll oversee project engineering activities, ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards, and support continuous improvement across engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional engineering/design team; plan resources and prioritize workloads.
• Mentor staff and support professional development.
• Ensure timely, accurate delivery of all engineering documents: P&IDs, drawings, datasheets, specs, and calculations.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and liaison with APEGA.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Sales, Procurement, and Field Services.
• Address client feedback, technical queries, and change requests.
• Maintain ISO and PPMP compliance; contribute to corporate standards and process improvements.
• Provide occasional field and shop support to ensure project alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation in Alberta, in good standing with APEGA.
• 12+ years of engineering experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.
• Background in engineered-to-order systems, industrial equipment, or process design.
• Experience as Engineer of Record; strong mentoring and communication skills.

Additional Information:This is an on-site position based out of the Calgary office with up to 10% local and international travel.
