Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Front Desk Supervisor & Lodging Manager - the Front Desk Agent is responsible for all things related to Lodging and assisting in the Golf Shop. A successful front desk agent makes guests feel welcomed as soon as they walk through the doors. Being able to be cheerful is always important. A front desk agent must be personable, and above all professional in handling guests' issues and relating with them.
- Greeting the guests and ensuring all service standards are followed.
- Assisting guests with Check-in and check-out.
- Assisting Golfers with check-in and tee times.
- Maintaining the record of guests that have checked in and out.
- Recommending and booking activities, restaurants, and transportation for guests.
- Storing any luggage for guests.
- Setting wake-up calls for the guests efficiently.
- Taking reservations on the phone for hotel and cabin stays efficiently and professionally.
- Arranging restaurant reservations for guests.
- Responsible for handling guests' complaints or directing them to the supervisor, manager, or GM.
- Handle golf guest tee time check-ins and incoming calls to make reservations, amendments, and cancellations for golf bookings.
- Answer questions on golf and hotel rates, resort facilities, products, services, and special promotions.
- Demonstrate golf shop retail product knowledge.
- Responsible for balancing cash and credit receipts daily.
- Participating in all Occupational Health and Safety standards set for the department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Driver's license preferred.
- Previous Front Desk or hotel experience is an asset.
- Must enjoy giving a high level of customer service.
- Must have experience working with computers and answering phones.
- Must be able to lift 20lbs.
- Must possess safe work habits with an awareness of safe work procedures.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
- This position may require overtime and altered scheduling according to occupancy levels.
Salary: $18- $20 per hour - Wages negotiable with experience.
Seasonal part time position available.
