Envol Strategies is hiring a Temporary Recruiter for 4-months to support the Chen chenstway Human Resources team at Squamish Nation.

Whether coordinating interviews or crafting thoughtful communications, you bring organization, attention to detail, and a human touch to every interaction.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Report to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, while supporting end-to-end recruitment for a variety of positions across the organization.
  • Coordinating and scheduling interviews with clear and timely communication with applicants.
  • Responding to candidate inquiries and providing updates on the hiring process.
  • Drafting and editing job postings, offer letters, and employment contracts.
  • Maintaining accurate and organized candidate records.
  • Supporting background and reference checks.
  • Assisting with onboarding activities including scheduling training and preparing new hire documentation.
  • Collaborating on HR projects and recruitment initiatives.
  • Contributing to a respectful, culturally safe, and inclusive hiring process.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 2+ years of experience in recruitment, human resources, or administrative coordination.
  • Certificate or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.
  • CPHR designation or candidate status is considered an asset.
  • Professional, adaptable communication style with strong interpersonal skills.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, empathy, patience, and integrity.
  • A respectful listener who is open to learning, contributing ideas, and supporting team growth.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Maintains composure and professionalism in high-pressure or sensitive situations.
  • Comfortable delivering complex or difficult information with tact and diplomacy.
  • Detail-oriented and resourceful, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Acts ethically and maintains confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working with First Nations communities or in a community-based setting is considered an asset.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a people-first approach.
