City Build Recruitment is partnering with a respected Canadian architecture firm in their search for a Job Captain / Senior Architectural Technologist to support the delivery of core and shell commercial projects in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. This is a key production and coordination role for a seasoned technologist or emerging leader ready to take responsibility for technical execution and consultant coordination.

The ideal candidate brings strong Revit skills, deep technical knowledge, and experience working on commercial or industrial buildings through detailed design and into construction.

• Lead the development of detailed drawing packages for commercial core and shell buildings

• Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to ensure accuracy and consistency across documentation

• Manage drawing sets through various project phases, ensuring quality and code compliance

• Provide technical support and resolve design challenges during construction documentation

• Participate in local site reviews and assist with construction phase coordination

• Support project architects with document control, RFI responses, and submittals

• Architectural Technologist diploma or equivalent technical qualification

• 5+ years of experience in architectural production roles, ideally with commercial or industrial buildings

• Strong working knowledge of Revit and drawing production standards

• Familiarity with Ontario Building Code and core/shell construction

• Excellent coordination, detailing, and communication skills

• Based in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, with availability for local travel

• Experience working in a collaborative, consultant-heavy project environment
