The role of the Architectural Technologist involves preparing and reviewing architectural drawings, ensuring compliance with zoning and building codes, and coordinating with consultants and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and modify architectural drawings using AutoCAD, including design development, construction, marketing, and purchaser alteration drawings.
• Interpret and apply zoning bylaws, OBC standards, and architectural design guidelines.
• Review and coordinate drawings from in-house teams and external consultants.
• Administer and review technical shop drawings (e.g., roof trusses, floor framing, HVAC layouts).
• Communicate with project stakeholders and conduct occasional site visits and meetings.
• Maintain organized project documentation in both digital and physical formats.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology or related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong understanding of residential construction documentation
• Familiarity with Ontario Building Code and zoning regulations
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
