WHAT'S THE JOB?
Are you a people-first HR leader who thrives on building strong relationships and driving real business results?
We're looking for a Director, HR Business Partner to join our team and help shape the future of our organization. This role is all about being a trusted advisor, a strategic thinker, and a connector—someone who knows how to bring people together and make things happen.
About the Role
- Partner closely with leaders to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships across all levels of the organization—from frontline teams to senior leadership.
- Provide thoughtful, consultative support on everything from workforce planning to performance development.
- Coach leaders to bring out the best in their teams and create a culture of accountability and growth.
- Help navigate organizational change, optimize structures, and support business transformation.
- Guide labour relations efforts, including collective agreement negotiations and compliance.
- Tackle complex employee relations issues with confidence and care.
- Use data and insights to inform decisions and spot trends before they become challenges.
- Collaborate with HR experts to roll out programs that support talent, engagement, and development.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Post secondary degree in related field and Human Resources Professional Designation (CHRP/CHRL).
- 5+ years of senior HRBP experience, in both unionized and non-unionized environments.
- High integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
- Proven experience in a consultative, people-first role in HR leadership with strong business acumen.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with confidence in coaching, influencing, and building trust at all levels.
- Strategic thinking and a deep understanding of business operations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- A passion for fostering connection, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Solid experience with HR systems, data and tools (HRIS, ATS etc).
- Flexibility to travel nationally (Canada) as needed.
