Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Operations Program Manager to lead production execution for a high-profile enterprise client. This role will work closely with the Commercial Program Manager to ensure that all customer requirements, engineering changes, and forecasted volumes are accurately translated into production plans and executed with precision. You will be the key link between commercial, engineering, planning, and factory operations—driving production readiness, resolving blockers, managing change implementation, and ensuring on-time delivery. This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical skills, excellent cross-functional coordination, and a relentless focus on meeting customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Program Manager to convert customer forecasts into executable factory demand plans, aligned with production capacity and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure all customer configuration changes, technical change notices (CNs), and engineering updates are captured in the bill of materials (BOM) and production orders.
  • Manage job order (JO) and part number loading, ensuring accuracy in production systems and timely execution on the factory floor.
  • Coordinate and execute intercept plans for material substitutions or configuration changes, communicating updates to Project Managers, engineering, and procurement.
  • Work directly with engineering to translate design intent and body of design (BOD) requirements into factory-ready plans.
  • Facilitate production issue resolution, acting as the escalation point for blockers related to supply chain, engineering, or operational disruptions.
  • Manage and mentor Project Managers responsible for day-to-day coordination of production tasks and communication with factory personnel.
  • Analyze factory capacity, throughput, and inventory alignment with demand fluctuations, making real-time decisions to support production flow and customer delivery commitments.
  • Provide strategic input to support customer expansion, contributing to production strategies and capacity planning to meet future growth and evolving requirements.
  • Own the feedback loop from field issues, escalations, RFIs, and technical challenges, ensuring resolution and process improvement across relevant teams.
  • Oversee allocation of constrained materials across sites to ensure critical customer deliverables are prioritized and met.
  • Identify and mitigate production and delivery risks by building contingencies and executing corrective actions swiftly.
  • Drive alignment across production schedules, customer commitments, and modification timelines, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Champion operational excellence and lead initiatives to enhance profitability, quality control, and customer satisfaction through better practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field; advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing program management role with annualized volume exceeding $10 million. Preference given to customer-facing, high-volume environment.
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning, factory operations, and product lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across engineering, supply chain, and customer teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools; analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and risk management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities and high customer expectations.
