Blumind's patented compute in transistor technology is 100x-1000x more energy efficient with improved latency, performance and cost relative to its competitors using standard cost-effective CMOS process technology.

Key Responsibilities

Blumind is seeking a Director of Finance with a strong entrepreneurial profile who is undaunted by challenges and inspired by a dynamic business environment, seeing opportunities where others might see obstacles. The Director of Finance will provide input and counsel and possess the skills and personality to work with the CEO, the Board of Directors and executive team in the context of Blumind's growing business. Above all, he or she is very hands-on, resilient, able to push his or her limits and is motivated by the chance to personally and professionally grow at an exponential rate by investing in the future.

The Director of Finance will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company.

The Director of Finance will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for finance, accounting, tax, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, credit, treasury, fundraising, deal analysis, non-dilutive financing and overall risk management.

Key Contributions

The Director of Finance will direct and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the organization, including cash flow, company liabilities, company performance, budgeting and expense control, financial relationships, finance raising capital, financial obligations, record control and shareholder relations. His or her roles and responsibilities will include the following key contributions:

  • Effectively lead the finance / accounting activities of the company
  • Establish internal control processes required to manage and grow the business
  • Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to management and Board of Directors (financial performance – monthly /quarterly / annual reports, projections and other special projects as required)
  • Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firm performance
  • Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies
  • Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants
  • Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities
  • Develop a financial model and prepare short and long-term forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
  • Develop and implement a risk management policy; develop processes and disciplines around monitoring and assessing risk in positions
  • Drive the annual budget process and the monthly reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts
  • Set financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization's overall financial strategy

Professional Experience

Blumind is seeking an outstanding candidate with a professional track record of exceptional performance in key financial positions.

Experiences should include:

  • 5 - 10 years of relevant finance/accounting experience
  • Proven ability to execute efficiently with flexibility and adaptability
  • Demonstrated track record of building efficient finance and accounting processes
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model
  • Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent accounting principles
  • Must have a passion for getting things done, and an appreciation for details
  • Desire to learn and grow in the role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of startup, venture capital backed finance activities including dilutive and non-dilutive financing
  • Experience in financial roles, with emphasis on “growth companies” in the technology sector preferably in the semiconductor industry

Education

Bachelors in Accounting or Finance. Master's Degree, CPA/CFA highly desirable.
