The Diesel Technician is responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repairs accurately and ensuring customer safety to prevent the vehicle returning with similar concerns. They must perform quality diagnostic and repair work to contribute to an overall customer experience that exceeds expectations.

Requirements:

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Efficiently and accurately diagnose and repair vehicles
• Complete scheduled maintenance as outlined by the manufacturer
• Perform vehicle inspections, road test motor vehicles, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems

Qualifications:

• Licensed technician with diesel experience
• Out of province inspection certification is an asset
• Thorough knowledge of vehicles including electrical systems, engine repair, brake systems, suspension & steering and heating & air conditioning
• Outstanding work ethic
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Must have a positive attitude and collaborate well with others
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Hours of work:

• Full Time – Monday to Friday
• Signing Bonus and relocation support available depending on application qualifications
