Your Role:

We are a growing private company looking for a smart, motivated,Junior Accountant - Contract who has attention to detail, and willingness to work in an ever-changing environment.

Must Haves:

• 1-3 Years of accounting experience in mid size company
• Degree or Diploma in accounting required
• Pursing CPA designation an asset
• Full cycle accounting experience, preferably with a private corporation, preferred
• Proficient with the use of Accounting Software, specifically QuickBooks Online
• Attention to detail and an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Must be able to enjoy mundane, repetitive tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven experience in maintaining confidential information and documentation.

• Intermediate MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Slack

The Job:

• 3 month contract to start with possible extension
• Assist in the preparation and processing of companywide payroll
• Daily processing of Request for Funds and Pay-Out Requests
• Will be an integral part of a small team needs to be a good team player
• Complete daily tasks in a timely manner
• Data Entry will be a big part of this role
• Participate in the preparation andreview of accounts payable and receivables
• Respond to inquiries providing exceptional support to employees, customers and vendors
• This position is in the office full time, not a remote opportunity
