About the Role


Eavor Technologies Inc. is seeking a high performing, Senior Development Engineer with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. Working within a multidisciplinary international team you will use your technical expertise, initiative, business acumen, and problem-solving skills to commercialize Eavors closed-loop geothermal systems on a global scale.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting an integrated team to drive the expansion of our global project pipeline. Eavor is seeking Calgary-based candidates with a range of technical background and experience building and presenting multidisciplinary development plans and business cases. This hybrid role is based in Calgary, Alberta, but could require limited travel based on business needs.

Some of What You Will Do


Play a critical role in early project development planning, evaluation and project management activities
Work closely with the PMO to help organize a multi-disciplinary team and work scopes for Eavors projects as they move through the development cycle
Integrate multidisciplinary information to build coherent technical development plans and associated business cases
Evaluate multiple development scenarios and perform sensitivity analysis
Provide technical support and information to Sales or Business Development; prepare project specific slides and respond to client/customer technical questions
Maintain and improve Eavors techno-economic models, update and maintain Eavors prospect tracking inventory
Prepare technical reports and proposals, and make presentations, outlining the business case for various assets, including all key technical information, decisions, and development plans

Some of What You Will Need


Minimum 9-15 years in a development engineer capacity: planning, coordinating multidisciplinary colleagues, project management, economic modeling (equity and debt financing)
Minimum Bachelor of Engineering Degree
Professional Engineer registered with APEGA and in good standing
Experience with planning and modelling multi-year multi-million-dollar projects considered an asset
Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication abilities including oral presentations, pitch deck creation, and technical writing
Legally authorized to work in Canada without restrictions
Thrives in a high-energy, fast paced work environment with multiple priorities
Self-starter, proactive, ability to work autonomously when assigned a task/goal
Experience in upstream energy, geothermal assets, renewables projects, utility power, or power generation projects is considered a strong asset

We leverage oil and gas technology, along with some proprietary solutions, to create the worlds first closed-loop geothermal system. Eavor has successfully built a prototype demonstration facility (Eavor-Lite) in Alberta along with our partners. We are currently constructing our first commercial project in Germany. Working with clients and partners, we are progressing a pipeline of commercial projects in Northern Europe, Canada, The United States, and Japan.
