Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Gold Appraiser to join our cash money exchange and finance business.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, testing, and appraising gold and other precious metals brought

in by customers for cash exchange. This role requires a high level of integrity, accuracy, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine and evaluate gold jewelry, coins, and bullion using appropriate tools (acid test kits, magnifiers, weighing scales, etc.)

• Determine the purity (karat), weight, and value of gold items

• Ensure all appraisals are accurate, fair, and transparent

• Educate customers about the valuation process and answer their queries

• Maintain accurate records of all appraisals and transactions

• Verify and authenticate items to avoid counterfeit or stolen property

• Collaborate with the cash counter and customer service team for smooth operations

• Follow all regulatory and safety guidelines pertaining to precious metal transactions

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of appraisal work area and tools

• Assist in daily inventory management of gold and related items

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Gold Appraiser, Jeweler, or in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of gold testing methods and appraisal techniques

• Ability to use standard tools and equipment for testing and weighing

• Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of honesty, ethics, and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in gemology or gold appraisal (e.g., GIA or similar) is a plus

• Previous experience in a gold buying or cash exchange business
