Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time up to 8 hours
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Use of a POS and traffic wand. Requires tactile range of motion
- Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, crouch, reaching, and climb stairs.
- Outside for flaggers to guide customers into the lot and into stalls. Cashier will be inside the cashier booth to process transactions.
- Employee will at times be subject to weather conditions including heat and cold.
Shift times are:
Cashier: 10:30am - 4:30pm, 4:00pm - 10:30pm
Flaggers: 10:30am - 4:30pm, 2:00pm - 8:30pm, and 4:00pm - 10:30pm
Preference will be given to those applicants with open availability and cash handling experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and departing guests in a friendly and courteous manner. The high-level of service expected would be comparable to a hotel concierge.
- Act as traffic controller to direct incoming guests to available parking spaces
- Frequently perform daily patrols via facility walkthroughs checking on lot capacity, ensuring parking equipment is operational, and assisting customers.
- Respond and assist with customer requests and/or issues in a timely fashion, take initiative, and follow up on requests and issues to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Take payments using a wireless Point of Sale (POS) terminal when necessary or cash. Complete end of shift paperwork.
- Ensuring the lot has proper levels of supplies required for the shift
- Updating the vehicle count and communicating to team and supervisors.
- Report any suspicious activity to the supervisor. Report customers who violate parking lot procedures to the Parking Supervisor and the Operations Manager.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed; aid guests who have forgotten where they parked.
- Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns, relay information to Operations Manager and Parking Supervisor as necessary.
- Immediately report any accidents, incidents or safety concerns to the Operations Manager and Parking Supervisor
- Communicate professionally and clearly at all times with guests, clients, and teammates.
- Other duties as assigned by the Parking Supervisor and/or operations Manager.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- At least 18 years of age.
- Previous high-level customer service experience.
- Comfortable with devices running both Android and Apple Operating Systems.
- Cashier experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Enjoys working in a group environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills communicate with guests, clients, teammates. Email etiquette is essential for communicating with management, teammates and the client.
- Understanding of hazards and ability to follow safe working practices, policies, and procedures.
- Valid driver's license is an asset.
