Role Overview
- Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process for goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
- Develop and execute RFx (Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation, Request for Information) strategies to obtain competitive bids.
- Issue and manage purchase orders/service orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to understand project requirements and align procurement strategies.
- Address and resolve complex procurement issues, providing innovative solutions.
- Mentor and train junior staff members, fostering continuous learning within the procurement team.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Evaluate and analyze supplier performance, negotiating terms and contracts to optimize value.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments for informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure all procurement activities are documented accurately for compliance and audit requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Supply Chain Management: Extensive knowledge of supply chain systems (SAP/Oracle).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for effective collaboration.
- Negotiation: Strong ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Organizational Skills: Outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Problem Solving: Ability to address complex procurement issues with innovative solutions.
Education & Experience
- Degree: A related university degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification: Professional certification such as SCMP or CSCP is required.
- Experience: 8-10 years of related experience in supply chain/procurement/contracts.
