About the Role
Sustainable Projects Group (SPG) is looking for a proactive, client-focused professional to join our team as a Client Delivery Lead – Technical Building Services. In this role, you will lead the successful delivery of capital upgrade and sustainability initiatives for a key multi-unit residential client. This is a hybrid role based in Calgary, with expectations to work at the client's office or properties at least a couple days a week in Calgary, with occasional travel to Edmonton.
You'll manage projects, nurture strong client relationships, and coordinate internal technical experts and external partners. Your focus will be ensuring timelines, expectations, and outcomes align to drive measurable performance improvements and reduce emissions.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary liaison with a major residential client, ensuring their needs are met with clarity and care
- Build long-term, trust-based relationships through responsive communication and follow-through
- Understand client goals and translate them into clear project plans and deliverables
Project Coordination & Oversight
- Manage the planning and execution of capital renewal, energy retrofit, and maintenance projects
- Coordinate internal SPG experts, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure aligned execution
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, and adjust proactively as needed
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Act as a bridge between property teams, contractors, and technical consultants
- Prepare and deliver updates, reports, and recommendations that support decision-making
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication across internal and external project teams
Strategic Delivery Support
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of SPG's delivery processes and client tools
- Provide feedback to technical teams based on client experience and project outcomes
- Support the identification and prioritization of future capital and sustainability opportunities
Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for someone with a background in project or client management within the built environment—such as facilities, sustainability consulting, construction, or property management. You're organized, personable, and comfortable steering multiple initiatives at once.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in project coordination, client delivery, or consulting in building-related industries
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of managing client relationships
- Experience leading cross-functional projects with external vendors or internal teams
- Familiarity with capital planning, facility upgrades, or sustainability initiatives
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally with your own vehicle (mainly within Alberta)
Bonus Experience
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, lighting, controls) or building performance concepts
- Exposure to green building certifications or energy programs (LEED, BOMA BEST, EnerGuide)
- Professional designation (PMP, CET, RPA/FMA, or similar)
