Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a technically proficient and proactive IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for providing essential on-site IT support, ensuring the smooth operation of IT hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This role is critical for supporting our 50 end-users (managers, admins) and warehouse operations, with a focus on rapid problem resolution and system uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

Hardware & Software Support:

  • Set up, configure, and deploy PCs, laptops, and necessary peripheral devices for users.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS and other required software applications.
  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot printers, including Laser and Zebra printers.
  • Provide hands-on support to users for all IT-related issues, resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.

Network & Connectivity:

  • Check and troubleshoot network connections (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi).
  • Basic network troubleshooting, including understanding of IP addressing, HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
  • Assist with changes related to network endpoints (EP).
  • Device Management & Maintenance:
  • Manage IT equipment in in-bound (receiving) and out-bound (shipping) areas.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on IT equipment.

User Support & Training:

  • Respond to user-raised tickets and provide technical assistance.
  • Assist users with understanding and utilizing IT systems effectively.
  • Documentation & Safety:
  • Maintain accurate logs of support activities and resolutions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and use provided safety gear.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in an IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
  • Hands-on experience with PC and laptop hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with printer deployment and support, specifically Laser and Zebra printers.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused attitude.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Experience working in an Amazon warehouse environment or similar logistics/fulfillment center.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires working on-site in a warehouse environment.
  • Shift work: Monday to Friday, covering either a morning or evening shift.
  • Safety gear will be provided and must be worn as required.
