Job Summary: We are seeking a technically proficient and proactive IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for providing essential on-site IT support, ensuring the smooth operation of IT hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This role is critical for supporting our 50 end-users (managers, admins) and warehouse operations, with a focus on rapid problem resolution and system uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware & Software Support:
- Set up, configure, and deploy PCs, laptops, and necessary peripheral devices for users.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS and other required software applications.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot printers, including Laser and Zebra printers.
- Provide hands-on support to users for all IT-related issues, resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Network & Connectivity:
- Check and troubleshoot network connections (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi).
- Basic network troubleshooting, including understanding of IP addressing, HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
- Assist with changes related to network endpoints (EP).
- Device Management & Maintenance:
- Manage IT equipment in in-bound (receiving) and out-bound (shipping) areas.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on IT equipment.
User Support & Training:
- Respond to user-raised tickets and provide technical assistance.
- Assist users with understanding and utilizing IT systems effectively.
- Documentation & Safety:
- Maintain accurate logs of support activities and resolutions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use provided safety gear.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in an IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
- Hands-on experience with PC and laptop hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with printer deployment and support, specifically Laser and Zebra printers.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused attitude.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience working in an Amazon warehouse environment or similar logistics/fulfillment center.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Working Conditions:
- This role requires working on-site in a warehouse environment.
- Shift work: Monday to Friday, covering either a morning or evening shift.
- Safety gear will be provided and must be worn as required.
