About the opportunity:

The Sales Process Analyst is an integral part of the business team, providing key support in the areas of sales reporting, pricing and data integrity, trade spend management, and customer chargeback process. With the Sales & Forecasting Analyst, the Sales Process Analyst analyze historic sales to optimize future business plans with the goal to optimize revenue and profitability. In addition, the Analyst is responsible for supporting the selling process by monitoring and assisting with managing all pricing and trade investments on a regular basis. They will be an integral part of the team and will be recommending system and process improvements to deliver efficiency and better outcomes.

The attributes we are looking for:

  • Consolidate and coordinate all trade investments for the team. Analyze and review trade investments on a weekly basis and work with Customer Sales to ensure all deals, lump sums, agreements, etc. are being accrued against all applicable merchandising activity. In addition, identify outstanding / unallocated funds in conjunction with the Financial Shared Services Team and/or the Division Team and make recommendations to resolve outstanding funds.
  • Review and investigate deductions from Accounts Receivable and review with Account Managers on a weekly basis. Ensure valid deductions are cleared and maintain both paper and electronic files for post audit claims.
  • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales or forecasting reports/templates by region and customer division (i.e. discount or conventional). Utilize customers' point of sale data, Neilson consumer data and internal shipment data for completion. Work with the Sales & Forecasting analyst to optimize business plans – generating greater revenue with the same or less trade spend via product mix, promotion mix, etc.
  • Work with the Sales & Forecasting Analyst and Account Managers to ensure data integrity between all systems (TPM, SAP, BW, etc.)
  • Prepare all cost change forms resulting from program changes and/or price increases being executed with customer and work with the Pricing Analysts to ensure all updates have been accurately entered into the system.
  • Analyze and investigate price discrepancies identified through the invoicing process, in conjunction with Sales Team and Pricing, and resolve by consulting with Financial Shared Services Team and/or the Trade Marketing Team and providing recommendations on appropriate rate for implementation to ensure and manage pricing accuracy in all systems.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and other internal administrative requirements such as new item forms, item maintenance, and customer maintenance as required.

What you will bring:

  • University degree or College diploma
  • 1-3 years experience in a business environment and experience with pricing, finance, or accounts receivable an asset.
  • Education in data science, data management, and statistical analysis are an asset
  • Experience in quantitative applications
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong orientation towards accuracy, quality and focus on details
  • Strong team player with track record of collaboration and experience working as part of an agile team
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with standard office computer technology such as PowerBI and Office 365 (advanced proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Highly resourceful and ability to learn technical software quickly
  • Be curious – having a strong desire to explore, learn and improve current processes and technology.
