Job Description
***Only qualified (PR and Citizen) Production Specialist candidates located near the North York, ON area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred License/Certification:
• Certification in Powered Material Moving Equipment or ability to obtain within 2 months
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Production Printing
• Automated Inserting
• Receiving/Warehousing
Job Overview: The Production Specialist will eventually perform all aspects and duties in the facility. These duties entail both activities associated with “Inbound” and “Outbound” client deliverables.
Inbound – The Production Specialist will receive inbound mail (includes financial documents), preps the mail according to client requirements, scans the mail which uploads into our Imaging repository. This is a critical production step in the life cycle of a document/check.
Outbound - The Production Specialist receives materials, put away in warehouse, setup projects, operate production printers, operate intelligent inserters, and mail personalized materials on behalf of our customers.
Job Duties: Inbound Operations:
• Receive and sort inbound mail (including financial documents) by client
• Prepare and scan documents following client-specific requirements
• Operate and maintain the Inbound Imaging Scanner
• Validate materials and instructions before processing
• Escalate production risks or discrepancies to management as needed
• Ensure timely and accurate document processing in compliance with SLAs
Outbound Operations:
• Set up and operate production equipment, including:
• High-speed printers (cut sheet)
• Finishing equipment (cutters, folders, stitchers)
• Intelligent inserters
• Stand-alone postage meters
• Execute manual and automated document assembly tasks
• Stage production materials based on bills of materials
• Fulfill warehousing functions including:
• Receiving, material validation, and inventory put-away
• Pulling orders and performing cycle counts
• Participate in job setup and production planning
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
Flexibility & Work Conditions:
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and peak periods (May, November–January)
• Ability to perform in a diverse and inclusive environment
• Air-conditioned, newly built production and warehouse space
• Cross-training across functional areas will be provided
Performance Goals:
• Become proficient in all production areas within 6–12 months
• Independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot all equipment
• Maintain strong attention to detail and accountability in all duties
