My client who has been recognized as one of the top best places to work in Canada for 5 years in a row is growing quickly, and this is an opportunity to be a key driver of that growth. They are looking for a dynamic Marketing Lead to push their marketing strategy forward. This is a great opportunity for a marketer who loves to influence the entire customer journey because this role will have a little bit of everything – developing strategy, building internal alignment, driving execution, and collaborating cross functionally.
Reporting into the Director of Marketing, you'll be a part of the broader Sales and Marketing team that is responsible for driving the company's brand awareness, penetrating into target accounts, and supporting the end-to-end sales motions. You'll collaborate with team members across the entire business, including sales, consultants, and partners, to develop effective initiatives, campaigns, and tools to grow the business.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the marketing funnel and how to creatively influence prospects through every stage. They will be an action-oriented team player who loves to roll up their sleeves and drive initiatives forward. They'll thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable owning their results. They'll be naturally curious with a desire to learn and a willingness to challenge conventional thinking.
While they have a flexible working environment, the successful candidate should expect to spend an average of at least three days a week in person at their Liberty Village office.
What you'll be doing.
• Leading Marketing for Three Sectors
– You'll be the Marketing lead for three of our strategic sectors – The Food and Beverage industry, the Healthcare industry, and Private Equity.
You will become the internal subject matter expert on those spaces, their needs, their buyers, and how to best serve them.
• Marketing Strategy and Planning
– Collaborating with the Director of Marketing and the Partners, you'll help define the overarching Marketing strategy for your sectors. You'll be adept at translating those strategies to actionable plans that you can execute.
Hands on Marketing Execution
– You'll be responsible for driving their marketing initiatives forward. This could include content creation, events management, collaborating with sales, partner marketing, and more. While you'll be accountable for driving execution forward, you'll have support from internal teams and external agencies.
• Account-Based Demand Generation
– Partnering cross-functionally, you'll help to create brand awareness in target markets and leverage that to generate new leads. You'll have lots of freedom to test channels, drive campaigns, and find the tactics that work best for us.
• Strategic Deal Support
– You'll leverage your strategic thinking to help to drive leads through the funnel. This may involve helping to develop individual account strategies, collaborating on sales decks, producing case studies, or other activities that help progress deals.
• Reporting
– You'll be responsible for tracking the performance of your initiatives. You'll ensure that you're capturing the proper data and that you can demonstrate what is and isn't working.
• Marketing Structure
– The team is fairly new and fairly small, which means you'll directly contribute to defining norms, structures, and processes. Along with the Director of Marketing, you'll build the foundation for future team growth.
What the ideal candidate looks like.
• 4-6 years of Marketing experience, preferably in the B2B space, selling to enterprise-level clients. ABM experience is not a must but will be considered a major plus.
The scope of this role is broad, so the expectation is not that you're an expert in everything, but the ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of how to leverage different tactics and channels to influence prospects through different parts of the funnel.
• You're action oriented. You have a bias to action. That's not to say you don't do your due diligence and drive alignment beforehand, but that you strive to move quickly and get things done.
• You're a relationship builder. You thrive working with others and cultivate strong relationships where everyone around you feels respected and valued.
• You're a communicator. You have strong verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communications to different audiences.
• You're eager to learn. Whether it's new skills, knowledge, or insights, you're keen to learn and expand your expertise.
• You're adaptable. You are comfortable juggling multiple initiatives at once, adjusting to shifting priorities, and reacting to changes in the market.
• You're awesome. You are an interesting person who people seek out to spend time with because you offer energy, positivity, great advice, and engaging conversation.
We work hard, so we love to reward success with a good time and hope you'll join in on the fun.
