Note: This is a contract position with an expected end date of December 2026. There is potential for this role to transition into a permanent position, based on organizational needs and performance.

Position Summary:

This is a dynamic role that requires strong writing, editing, and project coordination skills. The Proposal Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management and execution of proposal submissions in response to RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitation types. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing tight deadlines and competing priorities. They will work closely with business development, project management, estimating, and executive teams to develop compelling, tailored proposals that effectively communicate MARANTs strengths and win work.

Our ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing and writing proposals, ideally in the construction, architectural, or professional services sectors, and has a deep understanding of how to create persuasive, visually engaging submissions that align with client requirements and corporate brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full proposal lifecycle from initial intake and strategy sessions through to final submission.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including BD, estimating, project management, and leadership to gather input and develop response strategies.
  • Write, edit, and format high-quality proposal content tailored to each opportunity, ensuring compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements.
  • Develop and maintain proposal templates, boilerplate content, resumes, project profiles, and case studies.
  • Create proposal schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Oversee layout and graphic development
  • Conduct quality control checks for grammar, formatting, and consistency before final submission.
  • Support post-submission follow-ups including interview preparation materials and debriefs.
  • Maintain and update content libraries, including CVs, project descriptions, and corporate information.
  • Work within the companys CRM system to track leads, opportunities, and proposal outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in proposal writing/coordination, preferably in the construction, architecture, engineering, or real estate sectors.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to prioritize and self-direct.
  • Understanding of RFP processes and best practices for persuasive proposal writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign preferred).
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar.
  • Familiarity with public and private procurement processes.
  • Post-secondary education in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
