Franchising Manager Summary of the Role

The Franchising Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting key operational processes related to franchise growth, compliance, and relationship management. This role focuses on coordinating internal efforts to streamline franchise operations, ensuring franchise partners receive necessary resources, and optimizing lead management and marketing activities to drive sustainable expansion. By working closely with multiple departments, the Franchising Manager plays a critical role in maintaining brand standards, fostering strategic development, and ensuring the long-term success of franchise networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the Company and the Franchise Partners during the sales, disclosure, and franchise agreement processes.
  • Develops and fosters a trusted business relationship with all key franchisees.
  • Responsible for franchisee related issues by providing support, sharing knowledge and influencing actions and decisions that are in the best interest of the franchisee and the Company.
  • Handle escalated issues with a high degree of urgency to successful resolution.
  • Creates meaningful and consistent franchise relations programs and approaches to interactions with the franchisees.
  • Maintain a pulse on franchise community, thoughts and areas of concern.
  • Serves as a resource and acts as liaison between the company/departments and the franchisee to leverage resources, promote best practices and align business objectives.
  • Manage the lead flow of prospect franchise candidates
  • Collect necessary legal documents from Franchise Partners and provide instructions to legal for the preparation of agreements.
  • Coordinate and attend franchise and other industry tradeshows and provide presentations to franchise candidates.
  • Coordinate franchise advertising and lead generation activities.
  • Keep current and updated on relevant Canadian disclosure laws and other industry news.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on franchising or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of successful lead generation and deal closure.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
