Position: Senior Consultant/Manager

Start Date: June 9, 2025

Duration: 1 year

Hours: Full-time 40/hrs /week

Role title: Project Manager

Location: Calgary - Hybrid (3 days in person at the office, 2 days virtual)

Languages: English

Primary accountability is to deliver complex Transformational Technology & Information Services (TIS) projects in accordance with PMO methodology. The Specialist for Project Delivery team leads large-scale projects through all phases from inception to completion with the objective of meeting business needs and expectations. Additional accountabilities include mentoring PMs to improve team capabilities and working with PMO and other leadership

teams to enhance project delivery processes.

· Perform full-time project management activities for complex, large-scale transformational projects. Proactively manages scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk to ensure maximum value is delivered to stakeholders while minimizing cost and optimizing schedules

· Develops comprehensive business cases, project charters, and project plans, including financial and resource plans

· Works with, negotiates, and manages external vendors and other stakeholder groups in the delivery of projects and programs

· Monitor and provide feedback on vendor performance and work to resolve performance, escalations and agreements discrepancies directly and/or with Vendor Management Office (VMO) as needed

· Builds relationships with senior leaders; ensures quality, risks, and issues are clearly documented and

communicated. Facilitates the successful resolution of outstanding concerns or issues within projects, escalating as appropriate

· Manages dependencies across a complex technology and business process landscape. Ensuring an integrated solution design approved by all stakeholder groups

· Leads and coordinates medium to large-scale project teams, supporting diverse internal/external resource groups across multiple departments

· Manages projects in accordance to the established TIS PMO standards, following both standard PMBOK Waterfall and Agile methods where appropriate

· Demonstrate the capacity of balancing priorities, constraints, and objectives of multiple simultaneous projects and complex programs

· Develop, review, and facilitate approval for project deliverables

· Utilizes proven organizational change management processes and tools to ensure deployment is seamless and well communicated, and critical systems are not disrupted

· Works and collaborates with Business Relationship Managers and Application Operations Managers to develop Business Cases, SOWs, RFPs, and RFQs for new projects and operational initiatives

· Provide leadership and guidance to project and solution teams, increasing team capabilities and continually improving project delivery processes

· Perform continuous evaluation of internal processes to ensure efficient and priority-based execution of related projects; identify and propose process improvements as required

· Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization.

Requirements:

· 5+ years of Project Management experience in the Canadian Utilities space.

· Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.

· Hands-on leader who can analyze project environments to identify and proactively address

potential risk events and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.

· 10+ years of progressive project management experience, depending on technical education,

Accreditations and competency development.

· Excellent written & verbal communications skills

· Well-developed problem-solving, decision-making, organization, planning and leadership skills

· A collaborative, team-oriented and service-oriented work style

· Motivated self-starter who works well independently and in fast-paced team environments

· Committed to continuous technical learning and personal development

· Ability to travel and manage projects throughout Canada and the United States
