The opportunity
Please note H&S offers hybrid option. Candidates must be able to travel to the Toronto office when requested, at least once per week.
Reporting to the Director, Lottery & Gaming, the Marketing Coordinator, Lottery is responsible for assisting in the delivery of a successful Heart & Stroke lottery program. This role will work with internal and external partners to execute marketing campaigns across various channels; including SMS, social media, PR/Influencers.
The coordinator is responsible for the development of project management tools such as timelines, budgets, status templates. They also lead and report on pertinent information such as competitive intelligence efforts, coordinate AGCO licensing applications, and contribute to winner engagement initiatives. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
How you will make an impact every day
Marketing Communications
- Work with internal and external partners to complete the development of marketing communications for the Heart & Stroke Lottery such as digital media, email marketing as well as direct marketing, telemarketing and SMS and website
- Manage and execute SMS marketing campaigns, following best practices and working with Analytics & Reporting lead on segmentation opportunities. This includes the development of messaging and testing strategies and gain manager approval.
- Collaborate with the Communications team on PR and influencer campaign initiatives, to support organic and paid social media plans. Including brief development, soliciting team input, execution and performance summary.
- In partnership with Lottery team members, the role is responsible to plan and execute lead generation executions to build the acquisition opportunity in purchaser journeys.
- Lead Lottery social media and community engagement, including creating and creating content for channels.
- Report on performance of channels managed working with reporting tools and Reporting & Analytics team
- Lead the development of in-store communications working with lottery prize partners
- Create, proofread and edit copy for various online and offline marketing, and key AGCO documents.
- Develop project timelines and assist in the effective management of timelines and deliverables by facilitating and attending meetings
- Lead competitive intelligence for the Heart & Stroke Lottery ensuring all knowledge of competitive activity is documented, summarized and shared with the team
- Lead and organize the AGCO license application process in conjunction with internal operations team
- Support Email and eCommerce leads to support the development and notification of prize winnings.
- Collaborating with Operations lead to notify and deliver prizes to winners.
- Lead and organize the AGCO license application process in conjunction with internal operations team
- Manage winner stewardship, including content development for cross-channel integration, interviews and communications.
- Manage post-campaign surveys to measure donor sentiment
- Assist with operational elements such as prize procurement, and coordinating contract approvals within budget support set out each campaign.
- Manage PO and invoice approvals, tracking and processing
- Track, manage and monitor the Lottery program budgets, reporting to the Director on progress.
- Lead inputs for Marketing as part of campaign Close Report for AGCO in partnership with Finance and Operations.
Education
- Post-secondary education strongly preferred with a specialty in Marketing
- 1-3 years' work experience in advertising agencies, and/or client-side marketing
- Experience in effectively dealing with external vendors and suppliers
- Strong organizational and project management skills with particular attention to detail
- A self-starter who can move projects forward and meet deadlines independently
- Excellent communication skills including copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Competency in Microsoft office; especially Excel, Work and PowerPoint
- Proficient at managing budgets
