Job Description

The Quality Management Associate provides an additional level of performance monitoring above the department level of key performance indicators for Osler's Support Services. The position will conduct operational performance auditing and will provide monthly reports to each respective site and the Quality and Contract Specialist, Support Services. Included with the monthly report will be observations, trends and recommendations.

Accountabilities:

  • Conduct performance auditing of Support Services at Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital and Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness; perform auditing of the site's housekeeping, portering waste and linen services aligning with the service level agreement.
  • Analyze audit findings and collaborate with the Quality and Contract Specialist to prepare and provide monthly reports to each respective site and the Director, Support Services.
  • Support the Quality and Contract Specialist in working with respective sites on the development of action plans related to recommendations from monthly reports; conduct follow-up reviews related to the status of the previous month's action plans.
  • Supports the Quality and Contract Specialist in working with the respective sites to ensure Accreditation readiness by reviewing required organizational practices, conducting mock tracer rounds, and completing physical environment scans; prepares compliance reports and provides updates to each respective site and the Director, Support Services.
  • Supports the Quality and Contract Specialist in the development of action plans following Infection Prevention and Control/Environmental Services rounds and conducts follow-up audits to ensure corrective measures have been taken.
  • Conduct user and patient surveys at all sites to further identify service excellence opportunities.
  • Responsible for the monthly inventory and management of wheelchairs/staxi chairs corporately.
  • Oversee the inventory management and replenishment of Code Brown spill kits across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Post secondary community college graduate in related field required.
  • University degree in business related field is an asset.
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in health care environmental services.
  • Certified in housekeeping cleanliness auditing preferred.
  • Westech certified preferred.
  • CHHA certificate preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and assessment skills.
  • Quality auditing and management skills
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Proven ability to develop and conduct staff training sessions.
  • Computer proficiency and literacy in Microsoft.
  • Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration.
  • Must have access to own personal vehicle to allow travel between sites.

Additional Information

Hours: Currently Days/Evenings (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

This is an On-Site First role: Roles that frequently support direct patient care and have designated hours when they are available to patients, team members and/or other partners

Salary:
Minimum: $30.88
Maximum: $38.60
