JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for a Technical Writer to join one of Canada's leading financial services companies. This person will be fluent with financial domains and be responsible for developing documentation project plans and timelines. They will plan, design, research, write, and edit a range of documents, including user guides and manuals, technical specifications, training materials, user policies, and proposals, for both print and online media. They will further, liaise with department heads and end users to define identify business procedures and establish documentation needs for hardware and software and analyze IT project requirements to determine types of documents needed. The selected candidate will have excellent communication and thrive in a team environment. Further, they will be a proactive worker with the strong ability to manage projects independently while coordinating with stakeholders.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3-5 years Technical Writing experience in the financial sector Hands-on technical writing and editing experience, with specific experience in documenting information technology software and systems. Experience setting up standard templates. Knowledge of information gathering, planning, and organizing methods and principles. Experience with various desktop publishing tools. Strong understanding of document formatting and presentation techniques. experience creating or modifying Management Policies and Standards, processes, SOP, run books, user guide policy, as well as process flow, workflow creation. Hands on experience mapping the final policies to applicable financial regulations including OSFI, B-10, PIPEDA, B-13, Bill-64 and the Bank Act as suits. Experience updating policies and standards with appropriate mapping to relevant financial and banking security frameworks if requires (PCI-DSS 4.0, CSI 8.0, NIST 2.0) Microsoft Visio and/ or Lucid Chart experience Exceptional written and verbal communication and works very proactively with the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders
