Key Responsibilities:
Depending on the project phase, tasks may include:
Control System Tasks:
- Review and interpret current technical documentation (P&IDs, wiring diagrams, cable block diagrams).
- Understand and interpret ladder logic diagrams.
- Support the design and preparation of control panels.
- Define system functional and performance requirements, including control logic, algorithms, setpoints, and wiring arrangements.
Instrumentation Tasks:
- Read and interpret P&IDs with instrumentation details.
- Populate P&IDs with correct instrumentation symbols.
- Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for equipment procurement (to be handed over to procurement teams).
Candidate Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation such as: Pressure transmitters, Flow meter, Transmitters, Vibration monitoring systems, Speed sensors, Level switches
- Strong control system engineering experience: Functional/performance requirement definition, Control logic and wiring design, Development of control algorithms and parameter tuning
- Nuclear sector experience, preferably with: Ontario Power Generation (OPG), Bruce Power
