JOB SUMMARY:
The Memorial Designer role at HGH Granite will support memorial retailers by creating layout designs for approval based on the criteria provided.
- Most of the communication with customers is done via email
- Layout designs are created using the Memorial Designer program (CorelDraw based) and provided as colour renderings
- Use Smartsheet to track and update status of orders as required
- Continuously improve our process, keeping our clients and their grieving families at the forefront of things we action
The Memorial Designer must be able to work in the memorial “layout area” which is a semi-manufacturing environment and the area where the engraving process begins.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to translate what is provided by customer into a memorial design that meets HGH Granite's quality standards
- High attention to detail
- Understand the functions of the CorelDraw based design program
- Organization and prioritization of multiple customer requests
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of graphic design is a plus
- Requires high level attention to detail
- High school diploma or GED required
- CorelDraw / Adobe Illustrator experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Onsite workspace in “layout room” of production, team environment
- Work overtime as necessary, based on volume of work

- Monday to Friday
- 8am to 5pm with morning and afternoon breaks, 30 minute lunch
