Career Opportunity

(LOCATION) a proud member of Drive Autogroup is currently seeking a Service Manager to join their team! As the Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow, superior customer satisfaction, and a high standard of quality in all vehicle maintenance and repair services. You will lead a team of technicians and service advisors, develop processes to improve service delivery, and drive the department's growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining procedures and repairs as required to the customer, complete with accurate estimates
  • Ensure efficient and timely completion of automotive repairs and maintenance
  • Knowledge of manufacturers warranty and insurance policies
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of service technicians, advisors, and support staff.

  • Maintain and improve departmental performance by implementing operational best practices and improving efficiencies.

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns and service issues promptly and professionally.

  • Analyze service department performance metrics, track goals, and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring the department has necessary parts and equipment for timely service.

  • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment on goals, expectations, and service standards.

  • Collaborate with sales and parts departments to optimize the customer experience and maximize sales opportunities.

  • Handle customer complaints or escalated service issues with professionalism and empathy.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, manufacturer service standards, and dealership processes.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices

The Perfect Candidate

  • Well-rounded background in customer service.
  • Comprehensive experience in the automotive industry.
  • Leader in the service process from both a customer experience and technical perspective.
  • Confident approach with customers to understand their needs.
  • Strong facilitation and leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Takes self-initiative to execute tasks but is also encourages team members to achieve common goals.
  • Sustains a high attention to detail and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' Service Management experience as an Automotive Service Manager or Assistant Manager with a proven record in both service and customer satisfaction
  • College Diploma or Trade School Certificate in Automotive Studies, or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Possess sound automotive technical background with a strong knowledge of technical/mechanical repairs, product, and automotive parts
  • Valid Driver's License
