Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing, tendering, and purchase order creation.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and respond promptly to urgent supply needs.
- Receive and store incoming materials in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage inventory systems and maintain accurate records.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, product quality, and reliable delivery.
- Support major capital expenditure projects through strategic sourcing, tendering, and contract negotiation.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in purchasing and inventory management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with inventory software and procurement systems.
- Hands-on approach with comfort operating forklifts and managing physical inventory.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving abstract.
- SCMP designation (or in progress) is considered an asset.
