Summary
An established property development firm is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Lead Financial Analyst to join its finance department. This role calls for an experienced accounting professional with a deep understanding of real estate development and property operations. You'll be directly involved in all aspects of financial reporting, planning, audit preparation, and operational accounting while playing a pivotal role in driving accurate and efficient financial workflows across the organization.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Compile consolidated financial statements and supporting documents for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
Deliver timely, high-quality financial outputs for internal decision-making and regulatory compliance
Conduct post-closing analysis to identify key trends, discrepancies, and improvement areas
Assist in building cash flow forecasts, long-range financial plans, and variance analysis reports
Operational Support
Manage revenue-related transactions including AR reconciliation, receipt applications, and tenant billing audits
Support internal teams with monthly AR summaries and performance insights
Assist with the development of process documentation and internal accounting procedures to enhance controls
Lead or contribute to special projects, financial modeling, and analytical requests from senior leadership
Audit & Compliance
Collaborate with auditors to provide accurate and complete data during reviews and inspections
Ensure financial operations align with company policies and external standards
Qualifications & Profile
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a senior accounting or financial reporting role within the real estate development and property management space
CPA or internationally recognized accounting designation required
Expertise in property accounting software – minimum 3 years of Yardi Voyager experience is mandatory
Proven ability to interpret, analyze, and present complex financial data clearly to executive stakeholders
Deep understanding of job costing, budget planning, and project-based accounting
Strong financial modeling capabilities and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Exceptional time management, critical thinking, and communication skills
A self-starter with a proactive approach to solving problems and improving processes
