Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the Manager, Security & Surveillance, Or On-Duty Supervisor and assist in maintaining safety protocols.
- Enforce age and access regulations within the casino and surrounding areas.
- Conduct regular patrols to safeguard patrons, staff, and assets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance guest experiences.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and medical situations while liaising with local emergency services.
The successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
Minimum of 2+ years of recent Security Officer experience within Canada required. Recent gaming experience within Canada or an international location preferred.
A clear Calgary Police Service/ RCMP Security Clearance, with no criminal convictions or pending charges within the court system.
Candidates must be physically fit and able to perform all job duties including patrols
AGLC Certificates including Anti Money Laundering, Deal Us in Casino Staff Training (Phase 1 & 2), ProTect & ProServe are required
Must have a valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C & AED or higher
Post-secondary education in criminology or suitable combination of education and experience would be considered an asset
Defence Tactics Threat Pattern Recognition (formerly PPCT), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training, and/or handcuffing training preferred
Computer proficiency in MS Office & other windows-based programs
Strong communication skills for effective verbal and written reporting in English.
Possess a high level of honesty and integrity, with adherence to high standards, methods, and procedures.
Knowledge of AGLC policies & procedures
Ability to work in a team environment
Due to our shift times, candidates must have their own vehicle as public transit is not available for this area. These positions will be a Flex Shift Coverage Position which will require the ability to work a mix of Days, Mid-Shifts or Nights
