Position Summary
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in embedded systems, automation, and quality assurance best practices. You will play a critical role in release readiness, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions that drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute comprehensive release readiness reviews for embedded software and hardware solutions.
- Oversee and perform quality assurance activities for embedded systems, ensuring robust integration and performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to accelerate testing cycles and improve coverage.
- Serve as a technical authority in quality engineering, providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise quality reports and presentations to stakeholders, highlighting risks, issues, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement and resolve quality challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in quality engineering, with a strong focus on embedded systems and automation.
- Formal education and training in quality disciplines (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Proficient in embedded systems testing and automation tools.
- Strong computer skills, including test management and defect tracking systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
- Thorough understanding of job-related and corporate quality policies and procedures.
Preferred Skills
- Six Sigma certification or equivalent quality certification/training.
- Demonstrated success in leading quality initiatives for embedded products.
- Experience in a global, matrixed organization is an asset.
