Overview: Our Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrum Master to join our Enterprise Solutions - Retail Project Management team. The Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in fostering team collaboration, ensuring efficient project execution, and aligning project goals with business objectives to deliver high-quality results. This role requires a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, war room daily triage, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and practices.
- Remove Impediments: Identify and remove any obstacles that may hinder the team's progress, ensuring a smooth workflow and timely project delivery.
- Promote Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating regular reviews and retrospectives and implementing actionable feedback.
- Ensure Adherence to Agile Practices: Ensure the team follows Agile best practices and processes, including maintaining the Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Act as a liaison between the development team and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and priorities.
- Support RPMs: Assist RPMs in managing the project backlog, prioritizing tasks, anddefining clear and actionable user stories.
- Monitor Team Performance: Track and report on team performance metrics, such as velocity and burndown charts, to identify areas for improvement.
- Foster Team Collaboration: Promote a collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Manage Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and status reports.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within a software development or IT environment.
- Proven experience in managing Agile projects and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Smartsheet).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and develop proactive solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Certifications:
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is required.
- Additional certifications such as Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail technology, operations, or logistics.
- Familiarity with other Agile methodologies such as Kanban.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise software projects and managing cross-functional dependencies.
