Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with preparing and manipulating 2 and 3 dimensional models during the pre-construction and construction phases. The BIM models are used for visualization, coordination, clash detection, quantification, construction logistics, and 4D scheduling.
  • Assisting in developing solutions with the Project Team, the Design Consultants, and Subcontractors throughout design and construction.
  • Assisting with 3D coordination on active job sites and acting as a liaison with the project team, consultants, and subcontractors to facilitate BIM processes.
  • Preparing and manipulating 3D models, producing documentation and visualizations for internal and external communication purposes, and extracting data for quantitative analysis.
  • Processing drone and 360 camera data for Surveys, As-built, Photogrammetry, and 3D Models.
  • Working alongside project managers and construction managers to meet schedule deadlines and deliverables.
  • Processing BIM/VDC data for dashboard development.
  • Helping managers with research and development.
  • Participating in BIM based coordination meetings with project managers, project coordinators, superintendents, key sub-trades, architects and engineers.
  • Staying current with the latest BIM software, plugins, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Providing support for the training of construction site teams in using VDC tools.
  • Identifying opportunities and recommending solutions that will enhance or improve processes.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Post secondary degree or diploma from an architectural or BIM program (or similar / relevant).
  • Working experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Must be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and a confident communicator.
  • Experience coordinating BIM models and overseeing digital construction workflows.
  • An understanding of setting up and managing document control platforms effectively.
  • Experience implementing project delivery protocols that support digital collaboration.
  • Familiarity with key construction software platforms.
