Who we need SNAP®, which stands for Stop Now And Plan, is an evidence-based behavioural model that provides a framework for teaching children struggling with behaviour issues, and their parents, effective emotional regulation, self-control and problem-solving skills. The primary goal of SNAP is to keep children in school and out of trouble by helping them make better choices "in the moment." Reporting to the SNAP Manager, Program Implementation and Training, we are looking for a SNAP Trainer-Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will provide training and ongoing consultation to professionals and organizations delivering services for children with disruptive behavior challenges. You will guide and support our Affiliate Sites, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and resources to implement the SNAP program successfully. From leading engaging training sessions to monitoring program fidelity and quality assurance, your expertise will help maintain the integrity and impact of SNAP in communities. This role requires flexibility to work weekends and travel extensively using a variety of modalities. What's in it for you Profound purpose. As our new Bilingual Trainer Consultant, SNAP, you will:Deliver training. You will work with Affiliate Sites to coordinate training logistics and conduct sessions independently or in collaboration with senior team members within the SNAP Implementation and Research Team. You will leverage PowerPoint presentations, videos, and other high-tech equipment to deliver engaging and effective training. You will prepare presentation materials as needed and present information using a variety of instructional techniques, such as role-playing, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.Nurture ongoing success. You will provide continuous training, including new and refreshed topics, in cooperation with Affiliate Sites. You will act as a consultant and advisor, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills while proactively identifying opportunities and risks to share with management. You will conduct consultations via telephone, email, or onsite observation, offering timely and accurate guidance on the effective implementation of the SNAP program. You will liaise with Affiliate Sites to ensure alignment, effective communication, and program success.Maintain documentation. You will support the editing and development of new SNAP resource materials and contribute to updating course content. You will organize and maintain training and consultation materials, including photocopying, distributing, and filing as needed. You will document all consultation, training, and community-related activities using the SNAP Implementation Tool. As a member of the SNAP Implementation team, you will share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Measure. You will support quality assurance activities for Affiliate Sites, including monitoring program integrity and accreditation activities in consultation with the Manager, Research, and Evaluation. You will facilitate one-on-one meetings with Affiliate Site managers to discuss performance, provide tools for improvement, and ensure effective program execution. You will collaborate with the research team to develop evaluations that measure the effectiveness of training sessions, including telephone surveys and Affiliate Site reviews. You have:The experience. You have an undergraduate degree and clinical experience in delivering individual and group evidence-based cognitive-behavioural multi-modal programming, working with children and youth with conduct-type problems and their families. You have working knowledge of gender sensitive approaches, risk assessment, group facilitation and school-based services. The consulting approach. You can develop and nurture trusting and collaborative relationships with multi-disciplinary team members, managers, funding sources and community partners. You can relay and gain agreement on the importance of adhering to the manual and evidence-based standards and prioritize frequent and clear communication. You can effectively prioritize work in an environment of competing demands while achieving established benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs).The training skills. You are proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access and have experience delivering and supporting multi-modal training that leverages hand-held technology. You have practical knowledge of training documentation and delivery processes and methodologies. You value and embrace a scientist-practitioner model with the ability to engage Affiliates in similar practice. The interpersonal skills. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and can adapt your presentation style to relay authenticity and ensure understanding. Your listening skills and mental attentiveness allow you to focus on the needs of individuals or groups to probe, analyze, synthesize, and create authentic connections and engagement. Nous recherchons un(e) consultant(e) formateur(trice) bilingue, SNAP pour rejoindre notre équipe de formation et de mise en œuvre à Toronto. Relevant du gestionnaire de programme, Mise en œuvre, vous ferez partie d'une équipe de consultant(e)s formateurs(trices) qui travaille en étroite collaboration avec nos partenaires affiliés afin de garantir une mise en œuvre réussie de SNAP et d'autres programmes développés par le CDI. Vous fournirez des services de formation et de consultation pour soutenir leur prestation et assurer leur conformité aux exigences de notre modèle de programme. Qui vous êtes Vous possédez une expérience en services sociaux ou en intervention clinique, ou bien vous êtes un(e) éducateur(trice) spécialisé(e) en enfance et jeunesse avec une expérience dans la mise en place de programmes scolaires. Vous pourriez également avoir une expérience en soutien de programmes comportementaux structurés ou en animation de formations documentées.
