This role will be based out of the corporate office in Vancouver and provide leadership to the Human Resources and Health and Safety team supporting 500+ employees at production sites across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.
What you will be doing:
- Overseeing Human Resources team to provide support to operational divisions in multiple jurisdictions
- Leading employee relations practices
- Designing training and development programs
- Supporting leadership development and succession planning strategies
- Act as an advisor on a range of personnel matters to management and leadership team
- Lead HR policy development
- Oversee performance management program
- Support planning and development of new business units
- Leading talent acquisition strategies
- Support management team on employee investigations and disciplinary matters
- Providing guidance leading to competitive total rewards programs
- Being a key member in bargaining of Collective Agreements (a relatively small portion of employees are unionized)
- Ensuring health and safety initiatives are integrated with broader HR strategies
- You have an HR or Business related Bachelor's degree at a minimum and your CPHR Designation
- You have seven to ten years experience with exposure to a broad scope of HR responsibilities, ideally in a manufacturing/production focused organization with divisions in multiple Canadian provinces and Washington State.
- You ideally have some experience in an unionized environment
- You have provided leadership as a Manager/Director to HR professionals at the Generalist/Advisor level
- You are a great communicator, a strategic thinker, technologically savvy and a natural leader.
